Febuary 14, love is on the air, but how couples, habibis celebrates valentines day in Riyadh or middle east countries? Hmmmm.. We all know that PDA, public display of affection is prohibited (haram). Motawa will caught you!When in public, don't show or do any romantic sign or act even with your fiance,wife or husband,like holding hands romantically, embracing each other; these are considered offensive to public morale.But as love is on the air,they can't stop lovers show how they love their habibis. Giving love letters,flowers,chocolates, secretly is always present to those in love in Saudi. But please,please,please for those who is in love in Saudi and had love in the home country specially romantic pinoys who had love many,don't forget your love ones left and waited in Philippines. Rains



Water from heaven drops in the land of Saudi. Its amazing, its raining! Rains seldom come in Saudi Arabia.It is a blessing, how i missed Philippines. I missed running over the heavy rains in my home. I know rain in Saudi Arabia is the same rain in Philippines. :-)


Sand Storm

When I was in a car going to office, I saw all around was blurred, the heavens, the road. The surrounding is so sad. I cannot sea the mighty kingdom tower and Faisaliah tower. What happens to Riyadh? I ask the driver, he said it's a Sand Storm! Whew! It is like a storm #2 in the Philippines. I will search how sand storm forms. Do you know how?

Pinoy Marriage in Saudi Arabia

Love is unexpected; you can’t predict the time and place. It happens anywhere anytime. It blooms even in Saudi Arabia. You can’t even wait for the time to go back home in Philippines to get married. Marrying in Saudi of both Filipino citizens is permitted only when you submit all the requirements of Philippine Embassy. Below is the major requirement of the Philippines Embassy for the solemnization of marriage.

1. Photocopies of the Philippine Passports;
2. Birth Certificates issued by the National Statistics Office (NSO);
3. Certificate of Single Status and Non-Marriage (CENOMAR) by the National Statistics Office (NSO) and authenticated by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Manila;
4. Notarized Joint Affidavit of Single Status ( form #1 of Philippine Embassy);
5. Application for Marriage License (form #2 of Phil embassy);
6. If applicant is between 18 to 21 years old, an affidavit of Parental Consent is needed;
If applicant is between 22 to 25 years old, Parental Advice is required. Parent/s of the
applicant should inform the Embassy in writing that they have no objection to the marriage.

7. If such advice is not obtained or unfavorable, the marriage license shall be issued after three
(3) months following the completion of the publication for marriage license.
8. Two (2) pictures size 2 x 2;
9. Fee: SR 540.00
10.If applicant is a widower/widowed, previous Marriage Contact and Death Certificate of the
deceased spouse are required and authenticated by the Department of Foreign Affairs;
11.If applicant’s previous marriage is annulled, the court order should be annotated in the
Marriage Contract by the National Statistics Office (NSO) and authenticated by the
Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA);
12.Notice of marriage to be posted for ten (10) consecutive days; and,
13.Applicants must inform the Embassy of the names of the witness at least (1) week before the
wedding.

***The embassy solemnizes marriages only between both Filipinos
***Through the embassy does not require a letter of no objection from the employer,
The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) may require such a letter before
authenticating the marriage contract.

Hello Camel.. I only sew you in books and I am glad to see you in my very eyes! It is my pleasure to have met you and have a remarkable riding experience only in Saudi Arabia. . It was this feeling that everyone should have a chance to ride if they so wanted and no-one should be put off riding because they were scared. I had study five years course of civil engineering. Through out the course I dealt with numbers. I define that number is a mathematical object used in counting and measuring. It is represented by a symbol. Mathematically, I have learn about rational numbers, real numbers, complex numbers and this natural numbers as 1, 2, 3, 4,….. Now that I am here in Saudi Arabia they have this very unique Arabic numbers and very interesting in studies.

Everyday I notice this palm tree uniformly planted all over the quite street of Saudi Arabia. I wonder this date tree bears a bountiful sweetest fruit called dates. A date fruit (tamer) is commonly known as fruit of Allah. I was amazed of the color of this oval-shape seed bearing fruit, from green-yellow green-orange-to brilliant red! Once you’ve taste it you will crave for more. It is very delicious, rare, exotic fruit that satisfies whether it comes directly to the tree or some dates products like pastries.

November 2010 CE Middle East Results

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 105 out of 214 passed the Civil Engineer Licensure Examination given by the Board of Civil Engineering in: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; Al-Khobar and Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and in Doha, Qatar this November 2010.

Thobe Arabic Dress for Men


A uniquely uniform dress in one nation or country. United with one dress and raise with ethics on proper dressing only in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. No one is poor nor rich in comes of dress you wear, when you look at all people in the kingdom. This white long dress, long sleeve, ankle length dress called a thobe. This thobe is the outer dressess of all saudi men in the kingdom. Very unique, clean white dress. Also the head was covered by long white or redstripe handkerchief called shomak and a black cirle round cloth called oqal to hold. This clothing is serve as not only to protect, but it was also a fashion to preserve the modesty of the saudi man.


No wonder saudi has a very good economy, good morals, people stand in one dress and work hand in hand to mantain the good etiquette of dressing. Thobe is worn with pride.

Civil Engineer Licensure Exam 2009 -KSA

Now, for those Filipino engineers working in Saudi Arabia without PRC licence can take licensure exam in the city of Jeddah and Khobar. The exam was held on November 26, 27 and 28 , 2009. Great news for kabayans like me who wish to participate in the exam next year. For the requirements please see below the newscript from http://www.gmanews.tv/ .

The PRC special examinations will be held in the city of Al Khobar and Jeddah on the following dates: November 26, 27 and 28, 2009. The next schedule will happen on in Doha, Qatar and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on December 2, 3 and 4, 2009. This initiative is a fulfillment of an order that was issued by President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo (PGMA) during her most recent state visit in the Middle East territory.Those who want to take advantage of this opportunity should submit the following documentary requirements:

General documentary requirements (for first time applicants and repeaters for architects, CPAs, civil, electrical, electronic and mechanical engineers):
1. Original & Photocopy of Transcript of Records (TOR) with scanned picture and remarks “For Board Examination only"

1. NBI clearance
2. Certificate of refresher course (for those who failed twice)
3. Must be Bachelor of Science in Accountancy graduate (for first time applicants)
4. BSC/BSBA graduates who are repeaters can apply for the examination. BSC/BSBA graduates who are first timers will not be allowed to apply

General Documentary requirements for Certified Plant Mechanic (for first time applicants)
1. Vocational or Trade School Transcript of Records.
2. Certification of Employment or Service Record of at least one year of work experience.
3. Certificate of Experience of one year or more in PRC Form No. 104 and to be signed by a registered Mechanical Engineer or professional mechanical engineer and duly notarized / under oath.
4. Certification of Detailed Description of Equipment in PRC Form No. 105.20. 1-A and to be signed by the company general manager or personnel manager and the immediate supervisor.
5. Affidavit of Competency which should be under oath.

General Documentary requirements for Registered Master Electrician (for first time applicants)
1) Transcript of Record of BSEE with scanned picture and remarks for “Board Exam Purpose"
2) Certification of Employment or Service Record of at least one year of work experience.
3) Certificate of Experience of one year or more in PRC Form No. 104 and to be signed by a registered Electrical Engineer or professional electrical engineer and duly notarized / under oath.
4) Transcript of Records of the Electrical Engineering Technology course.
5) Certification of Employment or Service Record of at least three years of work experience.
6) Certificate of Experience of three years or more in PRC Form No. 104 and to be signed by a registered Electrical Engineer or professional electrical engineer and duly notarized / under oath.
7) High School diplomas or transcript of records.
8) Certification of Employment or Service Record of at least five years of work experience.
9) Certificate of Experience of five years or more in PRC Form No. 104 and to be signed by a registered Electrical Engineer or professional electrical engineer and duly notarized / under oath.

Qualified applicants are advised to contact their respective professional organizations (UAP/MBAP/IOFA- Architects, PICPA, PICE, IIEE, IECEP, PSME) in Al-Khobar, Jeddah, Riyadh, Doha, Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Applications must be submitted to the professional organizations on or before September 30, 2009 for transmittal to PRC- Manila on or before October 9, 2009.Applicants whose documents are in the Philippines may present them to the Application & Qualification Evaluation Division for evaluation on or before September 15, 2009. Ramadan 2010

Ramadan Kareem!

Muslims around the world observed this holy month of Ramadan (Starts August 11) 2010. This is a one month celebration of Muslim holiday. Ramadan is a time for spiritual purification achieved through fasting, self-sacrifice and prayers. Each day, fasting is observed from sunrise (a morning prayer called adan) until sunset (evening prayer). Arabic foods are serve, specially arabic sweets and the dates. Dates fruit are called fruit of Allah, very sweet & delicious.

To end the holiday of Ramadan, there is a feast of the breaking the fast called EID or EID ul-Fitr.To all Muslims, the holy month of fasting, a month long of struggle is toward to a higher spiritual state.
